   Come back in, the water's fine and I for one miss you.
   
   Interesting note about the identity of the trolls. We think that HolyRoly, JaySweet, and DontJudge are the same person and that HistoryBuff may be a different person. We're pushing Ace to get privileges to check IP addresses; otherwise, we are going to delete the messages from everyone but HistoryBuff (who has been behaving himself fairly well and actually arguing back, not going off in a tangent) and hope the "rest" complain to Ace. He can either tell us we are wrong or give us access to the IP addresses. At this point we don't seem to have banning privileges, so all we can do is delete offensive threads and messages and lock ones that are being bumped.
   

   
   In my troll-fighting experience, based on language & topic, Holyroly is Histrybuff & Dontjudje. I did bunch of posts about it in Muscle & Life when he attacked me there in March:

   They just post too closely alike. almost word for word, not to be the same person. Our other resident republican, beowulf777, is most definately NOT the troll. His language and topics and tone are completely different from the troll.
   
   But in any case, the fact that Histrybuff has to behave himself in polite society must be driving himself crazy and that is fine with me.

   I find I don't have the patience to deal with such ... fucktardary, mean bitchery, asbolute bastardness... like that any more. And I worked with the mentally retarded and mentally ill.... (seriously).
   
   Also, since it seems like Bertz74 has been banned, if I post anything it will only confirm Trolly's incorrect and paranoid assumption that everyone who spoke against him is the same person.
   
   I do peek in from time to time and if I get moved I might start posting again. Your work to make the P&L board more civil seems to be having a calming effect (right on!)

   If Bertz74 has been banned, Ace banned him, since we don't have banning privileges. One of the rules I set up is that discussion cannot include personal attacks and any such message will be deleted

   Back in the days when I used to pick apart Holyroly-etc's postings I did find that Jaysweet did not post with the same frequency nor on the same topics nor with the same kind of obsessive personal attacks as Holyroly/Histrybuff/Dontjudje-etc. and considered him a separate person. I still do but I will leave that up to you guys to decide what or who he is.
   
   I confess that I did get into it with Holyroly/Histrybuff/Dontjudje-etc late last year, but really lost my taste for it when I realized just how personally & unapologetically nasty he could be (see all the famerbill comments) and felt that in my effort to tame him by pointing out his top-posting edits and contradictions and attacks with some humor, I too was becoming a troll and left him to the P&L board.
   
   I used to post in the other boards but don't any longer since his other persona Dontjudje attacked me there only because I felt I was tired of fighting his shit. Having a different set of politics is one thing, being a mean, obsessive prick is another.
   
   I do peek in from time to time to see what's going on, and was told by Bertz74 (did you ban him - he's been quiet in the past week) that new sherrifs are in town.

   Thank you. It's an ugly job, but someone had to do it, and in this case three are doing it. Until we get IP identification, we're deleting any postings by HolyRoly and JaySweet and only allowing postings by HistoryBuff; if they are separate individuals, they will scream bloody murder to Ace, he can check their IPs, and let us know that they are separate. That might speed up our getting the IP identification, which we currently don't have.
